Dev Log #2

Alright everyone, we are far enough in the development where I can officially say that I am the sound designer and composer for Polaris, a hand-held game set to be released by the end of 2014. This is going to be a huge project to me. I have never done sound design for interactive media so I have a lot to learn when it comes to creating audio assets but I'm sure it will be a great learning experience.

So far in the development we have finalized the art style and we have began working on a trailer for the game. At this point I have already played around with different ideas for music and I have decided on a melody that will serve as a motif for the main character. Below is a quick draft for the melody. A lot of changes are going to happen to the arrangement and instrumentation of the theme as this is just the initial draft.

As we continue to work on the game I will finalized the theme and I will begin working on the sound effects and assets for Robert and he begins to program. This is going to be a very interesting journey for both us! I can't wait to see how it turns out!
